Job Description
The Certified Welder II is a mid-level position responsible for performing simple, routine, and repetitive tasks using standard welding procedures, tools, materials, machines, and equipment; ability to weld metal using stick, MIG, TIG, cutting with torch and plasma.
Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
- Read and interpret blueprints, working drawings and sketches, performing accurate math calculations and layout.
- This position requires performing simple, routine, and repetitive tasks using standard welding procedures, tools, materials, machines and equipment
- Position requires working in confined spaces and standing for extended periods of time.
- Safely operates machinery and tools, using required safety equipment and PPE, including various forms of respirators and eye protection.
- Cleans equipment and work area using proper materials, and follows environmental policy and procedure in regard to proper disposal of hazardous waste materials and SDS Sheets.
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibilities for own actions and keeps commitments.
- Other duties as assigned.
