Start Date: July 23, 2026
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday | 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hrs/week)
Duration: 2026-2027 School Year (36 weeks)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a K-8 self-contained classroom serving students with multiple disabilities. This position focuses on life skills instruction, individualized programming, and strong team collaboration.
Classroom & Support
+ Small caseload ( max 12 students )
+ 4 classroom aides for support
+ Students may be medically fragile (G-tube feeding, wheelchair use, seizure management, diapering)
+ Emphasis on life skills, functional learning, and IEP implementation
Responsibilities
+ Develop, implement, and manage IEPs
+ Deliver individualized and small-group instruction
+ Collaborate with aides, staff, and families
+ Maintain a structured, supportive, and safe classroom
Requirements
+ Active Arizona Special Education Certification
+ Experience with life skills and IEP writing required
+ Prior SPED experience preferred
+ Comfortable working with medically complex students
+ Strong teamwork and communication skills
