Job Description

An Outside Sales Representative focused on Industrial Electric Motors & Drives is responsible for identifying prospects, managing accounts, and selling electric motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), industrial controls, and repair services to manufacturing, processing, and municipal clients. Seek out new clients via cold calling, networking, and regular on-site visits to the plant floor. Account Management: Sustain and enhance relationships with existing industrial customers. Technical Consultation: Determine equipment application requirements, understand basic nameplates or specification sheets, and recommend fitting motors, drives, or repair solutions. Sales Operations: Work alongside inside sales and service teams, develop quotes and proposals, negotiate terms, and secure orders. Territory Planning: Independently manage travel plans and sales targets within a specified geographic region. Sales & Business Development Identify and pursue new sales opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. Customer Relationship Management Provide expert product recommendations and solutions to meet customer needs in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and material handling. Technical Expertise Develop a strong understanding of hydraulic and industrial hose systems, gaskets, conveyor belts, and related accessories to assist customers with product selection. OnSite Visits & Consultations Conduct regular field visits to assess customer requirements, provide product demonstrations, and ensure seamless order fulfillment. Quoting & Negotiation Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales to achieve revenue targets. Market Research Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs to identify new opportunities. Collaboration Work closely with inside sales, operations, and suppliers to ensure high-quality service and timely deliveries.
