Our client seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand relationships within the federal construction market. This individual will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new opportunities, building relationships with government agencies and industry partners, and helping position the company for continued success across federal construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the federal contracting space and a proven track record of winning work for a general contractor or specialty subcontractor.
- Develop and execute business development strategies focused on federal construction opportunities - Build relationships with federal agencies, prime contractors, teaming partners, and industry stakeholders - Identify and pursue new project opportunities across federal markets - Support proposal efforts, capture planning, and pursuit strategy development - Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand market presence - Collaborate with executive leadership, operations, and estimating teams to support growth objectives - Track market trends, agency forecasts, and upcoming procurement opportunitiesWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements
- 10-15 years of business development experience within the federal construction industry
- Experience working for a federal general contractor and/or specialty subcontractor - Proven track record developing client relationships and securing new business opportunities - Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles - Experience supporting pursuits with agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, CBP, GSA, DoD, or other federal entities - Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills - Ability to work independently in a remote environment – Existing relationships with federal agencies, large prime contractors, and teaming partners - Experience supporting border infrastructure, military, civil, utility, or vertical construction projects - Familiarity with SBA programs, IDIQ contracts, MATOCs, and design-build procurement methods To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
