Bartender

$17 per hour

Overview

Bartenders provide excellent service to bar guests. They set-up the bar area, prepare and mix beverages, serve customers, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area.

Job Duties

+ Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol (Essential)

+ Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner and in compliance with company standards (Essential)

+ Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, and accurately counts and provides change to customers when applicable (Essential)

+ Monitors the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting the sale to those who are intoxicated. Orders taxis or other means of transportation for intoxicated patrons (Essential)

+ Operates in compliance with federal, state and local law requirements for serving alcohol (Essential)

+ Greets customers and takes beverage orders for guests from restaurant servers

+ Performs shift opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager

+ Presents menus, takes orders and serves food to guests seated at the bar

+ Cleans, sanitizes and maintains bar area including counters and equipment

+ Prepares garnishes, stocks, and replenishes beverages and garnishment supply as needed

+ Other duties as assigned

Requirements

+ High School Diploma or GED (Required)

+ 6 months in previous bartending experience (Required)

+ Professional appearance

+ Excellent customer service and communication skills

+ Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet

+ Must have a valid driver’s license

+ Preferred Certifications/Licensures:(TIPS Certification)
