Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join an elementary school team in Glendale, AZ for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time opportunity is ideal for an educator looking for flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on students receiving special education services.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-focused, and passionate about supporting academic growth through individualized instruction and strong partnerships with school staff and families.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals.

+ Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families.

+ Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet student needs.

+ Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

+ Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.

+ Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.

+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

+ Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.

+ Special Education Teaching Certification preferred and may be required by the district.

+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.

+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.

+ Current health certificate, if required.

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice.

Compensation

Local Candidates

Travel Candidates

?? Up to $1,500 Weekly Gross Pay Package

?? Includes eligible weekly stipends:

+ $700 Housing Stipend
