Job Description

Position Summary
A Job Coach provides personalized training, support, and supervision to individuals with disabilities or
employment barriers to help them secure, learn, and retain jobs in the community. They work on site to
build client independence, teach workplace tasks, and foster relationships with employers. The job coach
serves members, their families, referral partners, and internal teams in a manner that supports the
mission of Brighter View: delivering quality, person-centered, accessible, and complaint services that
promote dignity, independence, inclusion, safety, and measurable out comes.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
• Teaching specific job tasks, safety protocols, and workplace etiquette to ensure performance
meets employer expectations.
• Developing tailored training plans, conducting skill assessments, and providing mentoring to
boost confidence and independence.
• Maintaining communication with managers, addressing performance issues, and advocating for
necessary job accommodations.
• Assisting with resume writing, interview techniques, and searching for employment opportunities.
• Documenting client progress, tracking performances, and gradually fading support as
independence increases.
• Ability to identify the individuals' skills and talents to match them with the job they can excel at.
• Report concerns related to member rights, health and safety, access barriers, fraud, waste,
abuse, or policy violations immediately.
• Participate in required orientation, ongoing training, competency reviews, audits, coaching, and
corrective action processes.

Assess, Accommodation, and Service Standards
• Communications with the members and families must be as effective as communications with
others, including use of qualified interpreters, auxillary aids, or acces sible formats when needed.
• Reasonable modifications must be considered tio support equal access for individuals with
disabilities and individuals with limited English Proficiency.
• Services must be delivered in a timely, respectful, and person-centered manner consistent with
DDD, AHCCCS, Medicare/Medicaid, and company for access expectations, as applicable.
