Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to complete major overhauls, maintenance, repairs, and fleet services on our heavy commercial trucks and trailers at our repair facility in Yuma AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining all equipment, specialty tools, and company equipment while doing daily tasks and services. Special focus on ISX Cummins engines, caterpillar, Perkins, etc. as well as tire and wheel replacement, airbags, rear ends, transmissions, etc. at our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure compliance
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues, particularly with ISX Cummins, and some caterpillar engines, and many types of commercial trailers
- Conduct equipment installations, repairs, replacements, and regular maintenance
- Coordinate with management for specialized repairs
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and note when stock is getting low to management
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
