Job Description
Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K-12 school, food services, 24/7 on-site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services.
Direct Care Professionals (DCP) provide direct supervision and assist the day-to-day schedule for campus individuals. Direct support duties include:
- Helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation
- Personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, and fostering social skills
- Documenting progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs, adhering to the activity schedule, and attending weekly clinical supervision meetings
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, various athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult-transition prep!
Additional Details:
- Pay Range: $20/hr - $22/hr PLUS shift differential opportunities: $1/hr. 3:00pm-11:00pm and $2/hr. 11:00pm-7:00am
- Schedules: 1st shift (7:30am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm), 3rd shift (10:00pm-8:00am) with ability to work weekends
