Description
Program Name: CompTIA Security+ Certification Training
Course Objective Description: Training Services Delivered by Maricopa Corporate College in partnership with Education 2 Go. After you complete this course, you’ll be proficient in installing and configuring systems to secure applications, networks, and devices. You’ll also be comfortable performing threat analysis and responding with appropriate mitigation techniques, participating in risk mitigation activities, and operating with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Competencies to be achieved:
• Perform network design security, risk calculations, penetration testing, and risk management
• Implement device security, wireless security, static environment security, secure authentication methods and authorization models
• Manage attack types, mitigating malware, discovery tools, and security administrative principles
Training Services Offered When: This program is offered self-paced online with start dates every Monday. Once registered, the student will receive 6 months to complete the program.
** Students are strongly encouraged to complete their training within the designated access term. However, we understand that some students may need additional time to be successful. Program extensions are available on a case-by-case basis and require an additional extension fee. Extension requests must be submitted within two (2) weeks of the original end date, or an extension may be purchased upfront at the time of enrollment.

Hardware Requirements:
- This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook.
- Labs included in this program are not supported on mobile devices (i.e., phones and tablets).
Software Requirements:
- PC: Windows 10 or later.
- Mac: macOS 12 or later.
- Chromebook 113 or later.
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
- Microsoft Word. To complete your assignments, you may need Microsoft Word 2003 or higher, or an equivalent word-processing program, such as LibreOffice, which is available to download for free.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
