Description

Habitat for Humanity Construction Training pre-apprenticeship program is a open entry 9-12 week, fast track, construction work experience program.  The program is uniquely designed as an immersive and intensive curriculum that specializes on basic cote construction fundamentals, leadership and soft skills development for trainees 18 years and over that are disenfranchised, underserved, underemployed and at-risk of being left out of the economy.


Our specialized  training curriculum integrates technical, behavior and mindset skills where on the job failure is most likely to occur.  Majority of the technical training curriculum emphasizes on practical skills that includes our constructions lab and hands on experience with a actual house build.  Assessment is done on a regular basis throughout the program focusing on trainees soft skills (attendance) , literacy, numeracy and construction math gains for each trainee through an individual career development plan.


Keeping with the Habitats' vision, mission and values, our focused CPT trainees will work together with sponsors to assist in building a new affordable home for  the community and have other hands on opportunities through our Aging in Place, Neighborhood Revitalization, and Emergency Service departments.   This hands on experience along with the NCCER certification will strengthen the CIT trainees opportunities to transition into  job placement, state and national apprenticeship programs.

  • NCCER-National Recognized Construction Certification affiliated with: University of Florida's M.E. Rinker, Sr. school of Construction Management

  • OSHA 10 Training Certification

  • Job Placement opportunities with Arizona's Most reputable Construction Companies

  • Trainees that are without a High School Diploma or Drivers License will be required to there prior to graduation-Habitat for Humanity CIT will provide a Top High School Academic Online Training through Penn Foster's State and National Approved Seal.
