Description
Program Objective:
The QuickBooks Certified User program prepares participants to earn the Intuit QuickBooks Certified User credential, validating foundational QuickBooks skills for entry-level bookkeeping and accounting roles. Students develop practical competencies in creating purchase orders, tracking sales and expenses, managing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
Program Description:
The Intuit QuickBooks Certified User program provides foundational training in basic accounting principles and the practical use of Intuit QuickBooks Desktop software. Participants gain hands-on experience working with company files to perform common bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, file management, and backup and restore processes, preparing them for entry-level accounting and bookkeeping roles.
Competencies to be achieved:
- Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Set up and manage QuickBooks company files, lists, preferences, and user access
- Navigate the QuickBooks Desktop interface and perform essential system utilities, including backups and updates
- Record and manage sales, customer transactions, and accounts receivable workflows
- Record and manage purchases, vendor transactions, and accounts payable workflows
- Use items to properly record product and service transactions
- Process payroll, including employee setup, pay schedules, tax liabilities, and payroll reports
- Generate, customize, and interpret standard financial and management reports
- Perform basic accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and closing dates
