Description
Program Objectives
The focus of the program is to help students understand the basics of the Commercial Refrigeration industry and the best ways to enter the field as an entry level technician or installer. Students will gain a solid understanding of safety, proper testing, equipment use, and diagnostic/repair procedures, along with an overall career outlook of all job possibilities.
Course Competencies
- Understand the basic concepts of Commercial Refrigeration Evaporators.
- Understand the basic concepts of Commercial Refrigeration Condensers.
- Understand the functions of Commercial Refrigeration Compressor and cause of problems.
- Understand the different Commercial Refrigeration Metering Devices and functions.
- Understand the proper operation of Commercial Refrigeration Controls and Accessories.
- Understand the proper operation and diagnosis of a Commercial Refrigeration Walk–in Refrigerator.
- Understand the proper operation and diagnosis of a Commercial Refrigeration Walk–in Freezer.

Refund Policy
- If an applicant cancels their enrollment on or before the start date of the training program, NTI shall refund all money they have paid, minus a $150.00 administration.
- If student withdraws after the start date of the training program, the tuition refund, minus a $150.00 administration fee, will be determined on a prorated scale. Once they exceed 50% or more of clock hours attempted, no refund will be given.
