Description
1. Course Objective:
Description: The Emergency Medical Technician program prepares individuals to recognize, assess, and manage medical emergencies in the pre-hospital environment. This program will develop the student's confidence, knowledge, and skills in performing critical assessment and management of patients with medical and trauma-related life threats. It also focuses on the development of an EMT’s critical role as a team member during patient crisis situations. This program includes instruction in emergency medical services, medical, legal and ethical issues, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, patient assessment and treatment, and emergency medical services operations.
