1. Course Objective:


Description: 


The HVAC Technician Training course provides essential skills and knowledge for those starting their career in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. This comprehensive program covers the fundamentals of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance, preparing students for entry-level positions in the field.


Competencies to be achieved:



  •  Understand HVAC system components, air conditioning principles, and the refrigeration cycle



  • Apply OSHA safety standards and workplace safety procedures



  • Identify and use HVAC-specific tools and measurement systems



  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical concepts, wiring diagrams, and HVAC controls



  • Perform basic and advanced HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance



  • Interpret and apply trade math for HVAC installations and diagnostics



  • Recognize and install HVAC parts including thermostats, motors, pumps, and aftermarket components



  • Conduct system diagnostics for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units



  • Prepare for and earn industry-recognized certifications (EPA 608 Universal, OSHA 30, NATE Ready-to-Work)

  • Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation: No background check requirements for licensing. Candidates with felony convictions are restricted for employment among public employers (employers who have completed an initial public offering). No background restrictions for working in the occupation among Small-Medium Businesses (SMB) or Mid-Market employers.

Tuition covers exam preparation and a single certification exam attempt for the following credentials: 1. OSHA 30-Hour Safety; 2. EPA 608 Universal; and, 3. NATE Ready-to-Work. A new laptop is also included for all students.

Out-of-State/District Tuition

$9,995.00 The HVAC Technician Course is priced at $9,995.00 for all out-of-state students. This tuition amount covers the full cost of the program, with no additional fees.
