Description
Program Objective: Graduates will demonstrate basic knowledge in tile installation that will prepare them to obtain an entry-level position within the field.
Description: Basic principles and operator skills associated with the installation of tile flooring, as well as the health and safety training. Program curriculum is aligned with Flooring Contractors Education Foundation (FCEF)
Competencies to be achieved (2 credits):
Flooring Installation Technician - Tile FLR-101(2 cr): Provides instruction in the principles and practices of tile flooring installation. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the areas of safety, tools, substrate prep, layout, tile cutting, mortar and grout application. A modeled real world lab environment is utilized to reinforce and apply learned skills and techniques.
