A. Course Objective:  

Description: This bootcamp guides you in developing skills for modern information security, focusing on risk evaluation, mitigation strategies against cyberattacks, and essential cybersecurity tools. You'll benefit from expert support and human-led code reviews throughout the experience. By enrolling in this bootcamp, you’ll gain the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in the dynamic and essential field of cybersecurity. Cybersecurity Online Bootcamp Benefits:
-Includes Python, Linux, cybersecurity tools, digital forensics, penetration testing, and more.
-Learn the methods and tools for detecting and mitigating cyber threats.
-Gain proficiency in coding fundamentals with Python, a prominent programming language.

Learners may also schedule one-on-one sessions with a mentor.

Competencies to be achieved: By the end of your bootcamp, you should be able to:
-Program confidently in Python.
-Know how to set up local and cloud-based virtual machines (command line as well as GUI).
-Write bash scripts and understand scripting exploits.
-Install and confidently navigate a Linux environment, applying the array of advanced cybersecurity tools designed especially for digital forensics and penetration testing.
-Navigate security fundamentals and how to think like an experienced cybersecurity professional by evaluating threats and mitigating risks.
-Explore offensive security such as XSS vulnerabilities, SQL injection, and penetration testing.
-Use the support and guidance of our world-class career support team to hone your job application and interview skills to land your dream role in tech

Tuition:  $6,570

The CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam: $404 OR the CompTIA Network+ Certification Exam: $369 (can do either)

Max Total Cost: $6,974

Cost of the exams are not included in tuition, and the exams cannot be purchased through the ASU CareerCatalyst. As of June 2025, the cost of CompTIA’s Security+ Certification Exam was $404 and their Network+ Certification Exam was $369. A student can choose to complete either of the exams.
