Description
Supply Chain Management (Green/Black Belt)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Course Objective:
Description:
Supply chain optimization is a never-ending challenge, as it should be. Today’s businesses need to constantly seek out more efficient methods and processes. Lean Six Sigma certifications provide an excellent framework for this endeavor, combining the defect prevention focus of Six Sigma with the emphasis on waste reduction and streamlining offered by Lean thinking. There are a number of ways that companies around the world have used Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve supply chain performance. This course is focused towards both green belt and black belt certifications.
The Six Sigma methodology is a systematic application that is focused on achieving significant financial results and increasing customer satisfaction. These certifications are highly desired manufacturing jobs of leadership initiatives of process improvement. When properly deployed on carefully selected business projects, this methodology can lead to a significant reduction—and in many cases, elimination—of defects, process waste, and out-of-control processes, which translate into dramatic business gains
This program is excellent for candidates desiring stackable certifications of Green and Black Belt.
Competencies to be achieved:
Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belts achieve competencies in project management, process improvement (DMAIC), data-driven problem-solving, waste reduction, and quality enhancement. A Green Belt leads quality improvement projects, often within their existing role, while a Black Belt leads large-scale initiatives, develops project frameworks, and mentors others in strategic improvement efforts.
