Description
The Barbering Program provides 1,200 hours of instruction in haircutting, shaving, chemical services, skin care, and barber law. Students receive hands-on training to prepare for the Arizona State Board of Barbering licensure exam and entry-level employment in the barbering industry.
A. Course Objective / Description
Train students with the technical, theoretical, and practical barbering skills required to prepare for the Arizona State Board of Barbering licensure exam. Instruction includes haircutting, hairstyling, shaving, beard design, chemical services, facials, sanitation, business management, and Arizona barber law.
Competencies to be achieved:
• Haircutting techniques (clipper, shear, fades, tapers, razor work)
• Shaving and beard design
• Chemical services (color, perms, relaxers)
• Facial treatments
• Sanitation and infection control
• Client consultation and professionalism
• Arizona State Board laws and rules
B. Total Cost of Program
$13,500 (includes tuition, kit, books, uniform, and fees).

• Barber kit (clippers, trimmers, shears, combs, cape, etc.)

EZ Barber School maintains a published refund policy available in the catalog and on the website. Refunds are pro-rated based on percentage of program completed: 0–10% = 90% refund, 11–25% = 75% refund, 26–50% = 50% refund, 51–100% = no refund.

Testing/Exam Fees
$217.00 Students must pay separate licensing exam fees to Professional Credential Services, Inc.: $100 written exam, $77 practical exam. Each attempt requires a new fee if failed. After passing, students also pay $40 to the Arizona Barber Board for license issuance.
