Description
- Course Objective
The CompTIA Security+ course provides students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for cybersecurity roles and prepares them for the CompTIA Security+ certification. The program offers a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles by combining theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on training. Students will develop the ability to identify security threats, manage vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. The course also covers cryptography, encryption methods, and identity and access management strategies.
Competencies to be achieved:
Identify key cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities. Analyze risk and implement risk management strategies. Apply host, application, and software security best practices. Manage identity and access controls across systems and networks. Address network security threats and design secure network architectures. Understand cryptographic concepts and apply encryption techniques. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, laws, and regulations. Perform security assessments and recommend mitigation techniques.
