Description
- Course Objective
The Information Technology Specialist program equips students with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to support and maintain IT systems across a variety of environments. The curriculum introduces core concepts in computing, networking, operating systems, and hardware. Students will gain foundational experience with configuring devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting IT infrastructure, preparing them for entry-level roles in the field of information technology.
Competencies to be achieved:
Understand the fundamentals of computer systems and hardware Configure and support a variety of operating systems and devices Apply basic networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques Identify and resolve common technical issues in IT environments Maintain and manage components of IT infrastructure Utilize diagnostic tools to assess system performance and connectivity Communicate technical information effectively to users and team members Support the implementation and upkeep of organizational IT systems
