Program Synopsis A. Course Objective


Upon successful completion of all course requirements, learners will


● Design, implement, and assess comprehensive network security measures, including secure device configuration, virtualization
technologies, data protection protocols, and security testing across networks, servers, and applications.
● Analyze cybersecurity threats, evaluate security principles, generate detailed incident reports, perform digital forensics, and
demonstrate proficiency in threat management and incident response using industry-standard tools and techniques.
● Utilize advanced cybersecurity tools to extract and analyze data from various sources, create alerts and reports, monitor
network environments, and troubleshoot security issues using platforms like Splunk and PCAP analysis.
● Develop and manage cybersecurity frameworks and policies that align with legal and regulatory standards, explain governance
and ethics principles, and demonstrate an understanding of diverse network protocols and architectures.
● Integrate emerging technologies in cybersecurity workflows, including defining and applying Artificial Intelligence concepts,
demonstrating the use of Generative AI, and assessing its impact on improving cybersecurity efficiency and effectiveness.

  C. Required Supplies


Learners must have access to a computer with the following minimum specifications:




  • Compute: Intel or AMD CPU (i5-i7 quad-core minimum); 8 GB RAM; 64-bit OS (Windows 10 or Linux).




  • Storage & Peripheral: 100 GB free storage; Webcam and Microphone.


    Software: Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office 365, VirtualBox, Cisco Packet Tracer, and Wireshark.

Duration: 15 weeks (75 days total).


 


Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (plus an optional Open Lab from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) .


Eligibility: Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma/equivalent, and valid U.S. work authorization.


Prerequisites: Basic cybersecurity or network engineering experience is expected. Learners must complete ~20 hours of pre-work in hardware and OS basics .


  G. Refund Policy


Per Scholas provides training at no direct cost to learners; therefore, learners are not eligible for a tuition refund. If a funder requires a refund, it is paid directly to that funder based on a sliding scale (e.g., 50% refund if withdrawal occurs within 31-45% of the program).

Learners who withdraw must notify their instructor in writing. As training is provided at no cost, learners are not eligible for refunds; any required refund is issued directly to the funder per the withdrawal schedule (0% at 0–15%, 25% at 16–30%, 50% at 31–45%, 75% at 46–60%, 100% after 60%). Learners must return all textbooks, supplies, and equipment provided. Refunds apply only to funders, not learners.
