Description
The Licensed Practical Nursing program is 9-month 1,000 clock hour program. The students will acquire a general understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body & medical terminology; master numerous clinical competencies; demonstrate the professionalism necessary for LPN employment; demonstrate nursing practice in the prevention of illness, promotion and maintenance of health in patients across the life span from diverse cultural, ethnic, social and economic background; attend nursing theory
lectures with planned patient care (clinicals) in hospitals, nursing homes and health care agencies. The LPN will practice patient-centered care using teamwork, collaboration, evidenced-based practice, quality improvement, safety and informatics; and obtain their license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) after graduation. This program is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

• Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation:
Fingerprint Clearance Card; no criminal history; TB test required prior to placing student in a clinical field, CNA certification and must hold an LNA.

High School Diploma or GED
Pass the HESI-A2-PN exam with a minimum of 70% .
Students of the Licensed Practical Nurse Program are required to submit to a Urine Drug analysis screening at the time of Orientation. The drug screening is required by the State Board of Nursing and the RCBH, Inc. /College of Health Careers.
