1. Course Objective:  
Description: Lifework Education offers a 12-week EMT course, which equips students with essential knowledge and skills as healthcare providers. We will dive into anatomy and physiology, CPR, splinting, bandaging and patient assessment training.


Competencies to be achieved: Skills and Competency Requirements All psychomotor competencies required for NREMT certification remain fully intact and unchanged. Students are formally trained and evaluated on: • Medical Patient Assessment • Trauma Patient Assessment • Apneic Patient Management • Oxygen Administration (NRB) • Spinal Motion Restriction (Supine) • Bleeding Control and Shock Management • Cardiac Arrest Management and AED use Students must successfully complete a comprehensive psychomotor examination and achieve a minimum passing score of 75% on the 200-question final written examination, c

Admission Requirements:

All Emergency Medical Technician Program Applicants Must:    


1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Proof of Reading Comprehension at the 9th grade level or higher o Students must pass the Wonderlic Reading Comprehension Assessment 
3. Complete the Lifework Educa7on Enrollment Agreement – Emergency Medical Technician 
4. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent 
5. Pay Registra7on Fee of $200 
6. Submit valid, legal photo iden7fica7on
7. Complete the Lifework Educa7on Assump7on of Risk and Liability Waiver
8. Complete the Lifework Educa7on Health and Safety Form


Background check requirements licensing/credential:  No background check.   AZDHS certification is required to work in Arizona as well as NREMT certification.

Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Cer7fica7on is required to work as an EMT in Arizona. Na7onal Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) cer7fica7on is required for AZDHS cer7fica7on. Lifework Educa7on is not a cer7fying agency. However, successful comple7on of the Lifework EMT program qualifies a student to take the NREMT cer7fica7on exam and, if successful, apply for AZDHS cer7fica7on.
