Description
The Accelerated Medical Assistant Certification Program helps healthcare employers develop a skilled Medical Assistant workforce through an employer-embedded training model. Participants complete online coursework aligned with the NHA CCMA standards while gaining hands-on clinical experience at employer-hosted sites under the guidance of trained mentors and preceptors. The training also includes non-technical Skills training for Supervisors and Managers.
This non-credit program is especially well-suited for rural healthcare providers and small medical practices seeking to recruit new talent or upskill incumbent workers.

What is the Accelerated Medical Assistant Certification Program?
The Accelerated Medical Assistant Certification Program is a workforce training initiative that prepares participants for Medical Assistant roles through online coursework combined with employer-hosted clinical training. How long is the program?
The recommended program length is approximately 16 weeks, combining online coursework with employer-based clinical training. The program can be extended up to 26 weeks, if needed, to ensure competency development and successful completion.
What credential does the trainee earn?
Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion and are prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.
How is training delivered?
Didactic instruction is delivered online, allowing flexibility for both employers and trainees. Clinical training takes place at the employer’s worksite, where participants build competencies aligned with the employer’s specific workflows and patient care needs.

Programmatic Detailed Overview
The following is a description of the Sixteen Week Curriculum referred to hereafter as the Medical Assistant Accelerator (MAA)
The MAA Curriculum Proposed is a ONE-TO-ONE Match to the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Domains that are on the CCMA examination.
The MAA Curriculum is grouped into eight (8) Modules (described below), and each Module (A – H) is 2 weeks in length.
MODULE A: Weeks 1–2 - Foundations of Medical Assisting
Interns build a strong foundation in terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic pharmacology. Interns learn to interpret clinical language, identify body systems, and understand medication classifications supporting accurate documentation.
MODULE B: Patient Intake & Front Desk Operations
This module trains interns to manage digital intake, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and HIPAA-compliant communication. Through hands-on practice, they learn to complete intake workflows, verify coverage, and maintain confidentiality in fast-paced front desk settings.
MODULE C: Clinical Patient Care
Interns develop core clinical skills including measuring vital signs, performing EKGs, administering injections, and preparing patients for exams. Emphasis is placed on safe technique, accurate documentation, and responding appropriately to abnormal findings.
MODULE D: Administrative Assisting
This module focuses on navigating EHRs, applying billing codes, scheduling referrals, and coordinating follow-ups. Interns learn to manage patient records and build efficient workflows that support continuity of care and administrative compliance.
MODULE E: Medical Law & Ethics
Interns explore legal and ethical standards including scope of practice, informed consent, OSHA regulations, and HIPAA compliance. They analyze real-world scenarios to recognize ethical dilemmas and document appropriate actions with professionalism and clarity.
MODULE F : Safety & Infection Control
This module prepares interns to maintain a safe clinical environment through proper use of PPE, sterilization techniques, and emergency response protocols. Interns complete safety audits and simulations to demonstrate compliance with OSHA standards and infection control procedures.
MODULE G: Communication & Patient Experience
Interns strengthen interpersonal skills by practicing empathy, cultural competence, de-escalation, and adaptive communication. Through roleplay and feedback, they learn to connect with diverse patients and document communication challenges effectively.
MODULE H
Week 15 – Certification Prep & Workflow Integration: Interns review CCMA exam domains and complete full patient workflow simulations, integrating clinical, administrative, and communication skills
Week 16 – Externship Readiness & Final Evaluation: Interns demonstrate professionalism, complete final evaluations, and prepare for externship placement. They receive feedback, finalize documentation, and plan next steps toward certification and employment
Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion and are prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

Refund Policy
Once someone is approved and the course is paid for then a student is scheduled for the class. Students may withdraw from the course prior to starting within one week. Once a student starts the course no refund will be issued.
